GÉANT PROJECT GN4-3 (Jan. 2019 - Mar. 2020) - With Fondazione Bruno Kessler
The GÉANT network provides the high speed connectivity needed to share, access and process the massive volumes of data. This data is generated by, and essential to, diverse research and education communities across such areas as particle physics, bioinformatics, earth observation, drug discovery, and arts and culture. The GÉANT Project has grown during its iterations (GN1, GN2, GN3, GN3plus, GN4-1 and GN4-2) to incorporate not just the award-winning 500Gbps pan-European network, but also a catalogue of advanced, user-focused services, and a successful programme of innovation that is pushing the boundaries of networking technology to deliver real impact to over 50 million users.

DECENTER H2020 EUROPEAN PROJECT (Jul. 2018 - Mar. 2020) - With Fondazione Bruno Kessler
DECENTER is a research and innovation project aiming to deliver a robust Fog Computing Platform, covering the whole Cloud-to-Things continuum, that will provide application-aware orchestration and provisioning of resources, driven by methods of Artificial Intelligence. The underlying infrastructure will span across borders into a federation, and will utilize Blockchain and Smart Contracts to reach secure processing, automated operation and timely delivery of responses.

PROGETTO SPERIMENTAZIONE 5G IN THE CITY OF PRATO (2017 - Mar. 2020) - With Fondazione Bruno Kessler
4-years trial project on 5G technologies with a number of innovative use cases to be experimented in the territory of Prato. The new 5G City of Prato will test innovative services for eHealth, Industry 4.0, Smart Culture and Smart Mobility with large positive impacts expected on the economic and social tissue of the area.

ACINO H2020 EUROPEAN PROJECT (Mar. 2016 - Jan. 2018) - With Fondazione Bruno Kessler
ACINO delivers a novel application-centric network concept, which differentiates the service offered to each application all the way down to the optical layer, overcoming the disconnect that the grooming layer causes between service requirements and their fulfillment in the optical layer.

COMBO FP7 EUROPEAN PROJECT (Jan. 2013 - Mar. 2016) - With Politecnico di Milano
COMBO will propose and investigate new integrated approaches for Fixed / Mobile Converged (FMC) broadband access / aggregation networks for different scenarios (dense urban, urban, rural). COMBO architectures will be based on joint optimisation of fixed and mobile access / aggregation networks around the innovative concept of Next Generation Point of Presence (NG-POP).
